The England Deaf Karting Association (EDKA) has officially entered into a landmark three-year partnership agreement with LJN Designs, a company established in 2007, marking the first commercial partnership of its kind in the organisation’s history.
The agreement will see LJN Designs support EDKA through the provision and funding of trophies and awards across official events for the duration of the partnership. This represents a significant milestone for the organisation, strengthening its event presentation standards and supporting the continued development of its national and international competition structure.

The partnership was formally confirmed on 28th February 2026 at the Dunsilly Hotel in Antrim, Northern Ireland. The agreement was finalised with a handshake and official signing between Alan Thompson, Chairperson of EDKA, and Leigh Nicholl, Director of LJN Designs. The signing marked a historic moment for both organisations and symbolised the beginning of a long-term collaborative relationship.
The announcement was widely welcomed as a major step forward for EDKA, reflecting the continued growth of the organisation and its commitment to improving professionalism across all areas of competition delivery. LJN Designs has provided strong and consistent support to the England Deaf Karting Association, and its award designs have been widely praised by drivers, teams, and officials for their creativity, quality, and presentation standards. The attention to detail in the trophies has helped elevate the recognition of achievements across all levels of competition.

Beyond the trophies and awards themselves, the partnership is also seen as an important step in raising the overall image of EDKA events. Improved presentation standards contribute to a more professional atmosphere at race weekends, enhancing the experience for competitors, spectators, and volunteers alike. It also reflects the organisation’s ongoing ambition to grow and modernise its structure while maintaining its core values of inclusion and accessibility.

For LJN Designs, the agreement further strengthens its involvement in sporting and community-based projects, building on its established reputation since 2007. The partnership reflects shared values between both organisations, particularly around development, recognition, and raising standards within competitive environments.

The collaboration is expected to bring consistency across all official EDKA events, ensuring that trophies and awards maintain a unified and high-quality design throughout the season. This will help reinforce the prestige of each competition and provide lasting recognition for driver and team achievements.
The partnership will run for three years and is expected to play a key role in supporting the long-term growth of EDKA, reinforcing its commitment to excellence, accessibility, and continued development within Deaf motorsport.
