The England Deaf Karting Association (EDKA) is delighted to announce a support agreement with SignVideo, which provided a last-minute funding boost of £1,000 to support the England Deaf Karting Team ahead of the European Nations Team Deaf Karting Championship, held at the prestigious Franciacorta Karting Track in northern Italy.
The late funding support from SignVideo arrived at a crucial stage in the build-up to the championship. With international competition approaching, the assistance helped ensure the team could finalise essential preparations and travel arrangements with greater confidence and stability. The entry fees for the championship are particularly high, and without this support, the team would have faced significant financial pressure in securing participation in the event.
SignVideo’s sponsorship also made it possible to provide new team T-shirts for the entire England Deaf Karting setup, including the team manager, drivers, and pit crew members. The new apparel has helped create a strong, unified team identity and ensures that England is represented professionally throughout the championship, both on and off the track.
SignVideo has also been working closely with Chairperson Alan Thompson, with both contributing to video editing and social media content to help promote the team and share updates with supporters. This collaboration has been valuable in improving the team’s online presence and engagement with the wider community.
In addition to SignVideo’s generous support, the team has also worked hard to raise additional funding through the sale of scratch cards. These community-driven fundraising efforts have played an important role in supporting the wider costs of the trip, including transport to Italy, attendance at the championship gala dinner and awards ceremony, as well as essential daily needs such as water, drinks, and food for the team during the event.
